Sharknado 2 The Second One - Shark Happens! (20... ((FREE))
Fin Shepard, and his former wife, April Wexler, are traveling to New York City to promote How to Survive a Sharknado and Other Unnatural Disasters, a book April has written about the Los Angeles sharknado. As the plane comes in for a landing through a storm, it is battered by airborne sharks, losing an engine. Sharks enter the plane, killing passengers and the crew, including both pilots. While Fin lands the plane, April's hand is severed while she attempts to shoot a shark with an air marshal's handgun.

Two sharknadoes are converging into a more powerful storm directly above the hotel. Fin and Skye head to the roof to try to bomb the sharknadoes. Polly is flattened by a whale shark, but Ellen and Mora reach the hotel, and reunite with Martin and Vaughn. Fin and Skye sling bombs into the tornadoes, but as the storm system is too cold; only a few sharks are knocked down, and they are forced to flee down a fire exit stairwell. They meet the Brodys, who were fleeing up the stairwell that is flooding with sharks. They break down a door to escape the stairwell and leave the building.
The facts in brief: Fin (Ian Ziering) and April (Tara Reid) have become minor celebrities after saving California from the last sharknado, but (spoiler alert) it is possible that they are about to encounter another sharknado ... or 2. After an opening set piece that removes a couple of famous CGI'd heads, the situation continues to deteriorate. And despite the fact that most of this happens during the day and is on opposite a Mets game, the NBC coverage is anchored throughout by Matt Lauer and Al Roker, who appear to be working with a skeletal production staff.
"You know, it actually can happen," one of the stars, Tara Reid, who returns for "Sharknado 2: The Second One," told GQ recently. "I mean, the chances of it happening are very rare, but it can happen, actually. Which is crazy. Not that it- The chances of it are, like, you know, it's like probably 'pigs could fly.' Like, I don't think pigs could fly, but actually sharks could be stuck in tornados. There could be a sharknado."
The Bad: I wish a sharknado clashed with a gatornado in the end. You can't tease a gator storm and not deliver. That seemed like a missed opportunity. I also wanted to see Ian Ziering ride a shark in the air, damn it.
So yeah, I hope you can forgive me for fully expecting the sequence to end with Fin jerking awake in bed, traumatized by his previous experience battling shark-filled weather systems in Los Angeles. But no! As it turns out, the opening is all too gloriously real, and it sets the tone for a film that, like its predecessor, is just fun enough to make for an enjoyable viewing experience. This version of the age-old sharknado film subgenre raises the stakes, cranks up the already sky-high ridiculosity factor by a few notches and will make viewers groan both in pain and pleasure, depending almost entirely on their cheese tolerance.
Picking up just after the events of the first Sharknado, SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE is set in NYC with the deadly storm that causes man-eating sharks to fall from the sky. Our hero Fin Shepherd (Ian Ziering) and his doughty wife April Wexler (Tara Reid) are en route to Manhattan when a freak sharknado attacks their plane, causing April's hand to be bitten off by a shark in mid-air. While waiting for her to recuperate, Fin meets some friends for a baseball game in the city, including his brother-in-law Martin Brody (Mark McGrath) and his son Vaughn (Dante Palmenteri), old flame Skye (Vivica A. Fox), and old friend Bryan (Judah Friedlander). Surprise -- a sharknado attacks the ball game! Now Fin must lead his loved ones to safety and find April, his sister Ellen (Kari Wuhrer), and his niece Mora (Courtney Baxter) somewhere in the city.
Not really. I did a lot for the first one to figure out how the sharknados worked, but again, Sharknado logic. Those rules were already established for the second one, so it was a matter of knowing my characters and knowing where it was all happening. Since I grew up in New York, that was easy.
There's a slight reference to miscegenation when Fin and Skye (Vivica A. Fox), Fin's old flame, are in the elevator preparing to throw makeshift bombs at the dueling sharknadoes. (Yes, this movie has two sharknadoes.) The film makes clear that they have a connection that doesn't need words, because she nabs a slingshot from the toy store without even being asked.
If this sharknado were really taking place, New Jersey would be absolutely devastated. There would be a massive loss of life there, considering the state's proximity to the Atlantic ocean, presumably where all the sharks are from. Despite the casualties, the constant message of Sharknado 2 is a callous one: New Jersey sucks.
Fin stops the car to save the children stuck in the bus from the assaulting sharks. Afterwards, the bus driver is killed by the "H" in the Hollywood Sign. While Nova is driving the car, a shark lands on top of the car and rips the roof off. Fin's hand is cut and the group abandons the car before it explodes. They steal another car and meet up with Fin and April's son Matt, who is found taking shelter at his flight school. They borrow equipment from a nearby storage and Matt and Nova become attracted to each other. Matt and Nova decide to stop the threat of the incoming "sharknadoes" by tossing bombs into them from a helicopter. Two are destroyed, but they are unable to stop the third one.
As Nova fights off a shark that had latched onto the helicopter, she falls out of the helicopter and directly into another shark's mouth. Matt is heartbroken. Baz is also lost in the storm along with Matt's friends Bobby and Luellyn. Ultimately, Fin destroys the last sharknado with a bomb attached to his car and the sharks begin to plummet toward the ground. One falling shark flies directly toward the remaining members of the group. Fin jumps into its mouth with a chainsaw and cuts his way out. He emerges carrying an unconscious but otherwise unharmed Nova. Matt is reunited with Nova, and Fin gets back together with April.[2] 041b061a72
